After co-hosting read-alongs for both Blackout and All Clear this summer, Carrie (Books and Movies) and I decided to read another book together in October: Wherever You Go by Joan Leegant. I hope some of you will join us!
Since this book is short, we’ve decided to post discussions only twice, once midway through the month and once at the end. If you decide to read the book, you can either join us for both discussions or drop in on the last one only, book-club style, for the final discussion.
The author, Joan Leegant, has also offered to participate in the read-along in the form of a guest post and author interview. Stay tuned for more details!
Here is the (revised) read-along schedule:
October 1: Start of read-along
October 15: Discussion post on chapters 1 to 11 (pages 3 to 126) on Carrie’s blog
October 22: Guest post by author Joan Leegant on this blog
October 29: Discussion post on chapters 12 to 43 (pages 126 to 253) on this blog
October 31: Deadline for submitting questions to Joan Leegant
November 5: Interview with the author on Carrie’s blog (based on questions submitted by participants)
The page numbers I’ve provided are from the paperback edition, but since the hardcover book has the same number of pages, I presume the pagination is the same. (In any case, this book has numbered chapters, for once!)

I can't commit to joining but I will definitely look forward to your posts!
ReplyDeleteThank you for doing RRT! I will link to your post. I'll stop by for your read-along posts, at the very least.
ReplyDeleteI read this earlier in the month and loved it -- intense! Can't wait to chat about it with others!
ReplyDeleteI'm in, but unfortunately I will be on vacation through the whole middle of October, so I will probably only be able to post on the overall book at the end. But I still want to participate!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kathleen!
ReplyDeleteSuko, I love your meme: it's so versatile!
Audra and Melissa, glad to have you on board! Check out the new schedule tomorrow (the dates above stay the same but there are author-related additions). I'm looking forward to discussing this book with you guys!
