Similar Covers: Hands (Part 2)

Here’s another series of similar covers that feature hands (part 1 is here): Unless by Carol Shields, The Heart of Christianity: Rediscovering a Life of Faith by Marcus J. Borg and The Tiny One by Eliza Minot. The last two look like the same image to me, although I’m not 100% sure of that. What’s also interesting is that all three covers feature a similar shade of burgundy.

  1. I think the last 2 are the same image too! This is such a great feature.

  3. I think you're right - the last two sets of hands are the same

  4. That is strange that they all picked the same color to use too. I have "Unless" but it doesn't have that cover.

  5. Kathy and Luanne, as soon as I hit "Publish," I changed my mind and decided they weren't the exact same image. The fingers of the left hand seem more bent on the middle cover.

    Me too, Staci!

Jenners, I know, I thought so too. What are the odds? (But then it seems even odder that they would do this on purpose!)

  6. I really enjoy this feature! :) And I read The Heart of Christianity last year; it rocked.

  8. When I look very close I can see that the hand on the right has a finger from the other hand curled under the pinky. The middle image does not. And the hands touch closer to the wrist in the right one too. But I sure had to look hard for a while. Those two right hands sure look the same though. Nice catch as usual.

  9. Sandra, you are so right! On the cover on the far right, you can see one of the fingernails, which isn't the case for the middle photo. Definitely not the same shot, though they are very similar!
