Goodbye, Sweet Thelma

June 7, 1992 – December 16, 2009

On December 7, we took Thelma to the vet because she was having trouble eating. Blood tests revealed that she had end-stage chronic renal failure, a leading cause of death in elderly cats. Two days ago, only a little over a week after the diagnosis, we had to say goodbye to her. I feel blessed that I got to live with her for 17 years. I will miss her every day.

  12. It is clear. Thelma was deeply loved. Both of you were blessed to have shared 17 long years together. Let the memory of all the love you gave her, and her love in return, dull the pain of her loss and bring forth the smile in your heart when you think of her.

  15. So sorry for your loss.

I remember Thelma intent on stalking a mouse during one of our Sunday W.O.W. meetings at your apartment.

She was a blessed cat as were you for being there for her.
