Should Be Reading.

I was poking around on
Michelle Richmond’s website this week when I came across a list of publications her writing has appeared in, including
When I Was a Loser: True Stories of (Barely) Surviving High School edited by
John McNally. If that title wasn’t enough of a draw, here’s the title of Michelle’s essay: “Putting Out: How You (and All Your Friends) Came to Know Jesus.”

Here’s another book with an intriguing title:
May and Amy: A True Story of Family, Forbidden Love, and the Secret Lives of May Gaskell, Her Daughter Amy, and Sir Edward Burne-Jones by Josceline Dimbleby. Dimbleby is May’s great-granddaughter. Read Danielle’s
overview of the book on her blog,
A Work in Progress.
Thanks for stopping by today. These both look intriguing. THanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteI love the cover of the May and Amy book.
ReplyDeleteI would have some stories to add to the first book about high school. Happy Reading.
ReplyDeleteI like the "When I Was A Loser" title ... it is enough for me to want to read it! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMay and Amy looks great :-)
ReplyDeleteDimbleby tells a good story! I recommend it (though admit I am still working on it!) if the subject appeals. I love it when art and literature merge!
ReplyDeleteYou always find the best books, Avis! These both sound fantastic.
ReplyDeleteLove the McNally title!
ReplyDeleteThanks, everybody, for stopping by and commenting! I haven't noticed a review on your blog yet, Danielle. I hope I haven't missed it!
