Friday Finds (October 24)

What great books have you discovered this week? Share your Friday Finds at Should Be Reading.

It’s been another week of never quite catching up with the blog posts in my reader, but at least this week I managed to read a few reviews...

Jill at Breaking the Spine reviewed Goldengrove by Francine Prose. Prose has been on my radar for a while because she wrote Reading Like a Writer: A Guide for Those Who Love Books and Those Who Want to Write Them (who could resist that title?), but Jill’s review has inspired me to add this book to my wish list as well.

I had never heard of Sandra Kring before coming across S. Krishna’s review of Thank You for All Things at S. Krishna’s Books. Another one for my neverending wish list!

  1. I know what you mean. The only thing growing faster than my TBR pile is my wish list.

  2. Frankly I've given up on an actual wish list -- all the books I mention are on a mental wish list, but I'd have to clone myself a few times over to actually read them all in the next short while. And in the meantime, there are more and more books coming out that sound interesting...

  3. I've been adding and adding to my google reader in the past few days. If I don't stop I won't be able to keep up but so far I'm doing well. IF they'd stop giving me recommendations...!

I just posted my friday finds.

  4. Avis, I want to read the Kring book too. I read another by her, The Book of Bright Ideas and really enjoyed it. She always has such great covers.

  6. Callista, I know what you mean! I have so many posts in my reader that I haven't read yet...

Shana, glad to hear you enjoyed one of Kring's books!

Marie, now if I can only get my hands on a copy of her book...
