It’s hard to believe that only yesterday it was 17°C (63°F) and hot enough in the sun for Mr. B and I to eat lunch outside on our back balcony. This is what it looks like out there today:
Cindy, I just spoke to Mr. B's father and he made jokes about how we'd skipped the summer and gone straight to Christmas! I'll say it again: UGH. I'll check out your FB pics!
Ti, trust me, I'm having trouble wrapping my head around this weather too. It's been gorgeous here for weeks! (But then again, I should be used to Montreal's schizo weather by now...)
We've gotten at least 5 inches since yesterday... and they are saying we will get around 7 before it stops. But this coming weekend it is supposed to be back into the 70's!
I envy you. I love winter and winter weather. It is not hot here, chilly and rainy, but I know our heat will come. Then I will really be missing the cold weather. Only 6 more months!
Staci, it's now a couple of days later and much sunnier again, thank goodness. Thanks for the compliment about my new blog look!
Nat, thank you! By Saturday it's supposed to go up to 22°C (72°F)!
Jill, I'd gladly take some of your heat! (And one of these days I want to visit your part of the world.)
Jenny, how cold does it get where you live? Our winter was pretty mild this year (at least compared to other years), but usually by April, I'm pretty sick of the cold. (Ah who am I kidding, I'm always sick of the cold by April!)
Jennifer, I hear you! Hopefully we will get the warm weather they are predicting for this weekend!
Nan, wow, that's nuts! What part of the world are you in?
Jo-Jo, it was pretty freaky to have snow after such a warm day. And now we're back to sun (which I'm not complaining about!).
Mystica, you're definitely welcome to have some of our cold!
Lahni and Vanessa, sounds like there's weird weather across the country then!
Kathy, my favourite weather is actually when it's warm but not hot, which only happens for a really short period of time in Montreal. Generally, Montrealers are either complaining about how cold it is or about how hot it is!
Pinkilili, same here, I'm so done with snow, although it sounds like you had more than we did.
Jenny, for us it's the opposite: global warming is making the winters milder, which some people seem to think is great. (I find our strange weather worrisome.)
And here I've been whining because our high today was only 69 degrees F.
ReplyDeleteYeah, you win.
ReplyDeleteAvis I know it was hot yesterday and then today is cold and snowy. To make it even worse is that the snow hasn't melted yet. AGH!
ReplyDeleteI actually posted some pictures on facebook from today.
I cannot wrap my brain around snow in April. That's coming from a California girl of course :)
ReplyDeleteKathy, ah the advantages of living in the south!
ReplyDeleteJeanne, I really don't want to!

ReplyDeleteit's been a bit chilly around here (NJ) too recently. no snow, though! wishing you sunnier skies soon!
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome to some of Arizona's sunny skies! It was 90 today and we weren't anxious to be outside either! :--)
ReplyDeleteI am one ofthe rare people who prefer winter to summer
ReplyDeleteI'm in Montreal as well, and I kept watching the snow fall and fall all day. I do not enjoy the cold.

ReplyDeleteYikes! Please don't let it get down to where I am! lol
ReplyDeleteCan you send some of the cold in this direction please. Its hot and humid in my part of the world!
ReplyDeleteWe had snow this weekend too. Luckily it didn't stick around. Now it's pouring rain! (Calgary)
ReplyDeleteWe had a blizzard here yesterday (near ottawa) and now today it's sunny and 9 degrees again. Weird.

ReplyDeleteHorrible!! I really don't want to see snow anymore - we had sooo much in Finland this year. Now I just want Spring :)

I'm in England, we get pretty cold over here. With global warming the winter are getting colder each year!
