It’s been a while since I’ve posted a Mailbox Monday post, so these three books didn’t actually all arrive this past week. First, I received a package from Serena at Savvy Verse & Wit, which contained a copy of Little Bird of Heaven by Joyce Carol Oates and an issue of the magazine 32 Poems (not the one pictured below, but I couldn’t find the right image). These were both BBAW wins. (Thanks, Serena!) Then while I was away this past week, I got an ARC of Barbara Kingsolver’s latest novel, The Lacuna from Harper Collins, which I’m super excited about, as Kingsolver is one of my favourite authors.
What did you find in your mailbox this past week? For other Mailbox Monday posts, head over to Marcia’s blog, The Printed Page.
I plan to read The Lacuna next :) Looking forward!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that the prizes made it to you! I hope you enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteBoth of those books look wonderful. I hope you enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteI got The Maze Runner. Hope you enjoy your new books, happy reading!
ReplyDeleteAh! The Lacuna is on my request list (hold list) at the library...meaning I'll get it in a couple or three months. But guess what, today I just got TWO inter-library loans with no renewal, _The_Elegance_of_the_Hedgehog in its original French, and _I'm_not_crazy_I'm_just_not_you, a book about Myers-Briggs personality types & couples which I've been waiting for for Months!!! HOW TO DO ALL THE READING???
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new books!
ReplyDeleteI so want to read Kingsolver's newest...great loot!!
ReplyDeleteLenore, I'm looking forward to comparing notes on that one! I have high hopes, since Kingsolver is a favourite.
ReplyDeleteThanks again, Serena!
Thanks, Kathy!
Ladytink, same to you! Someone recently highly recommended The Maze Runner to me, so I hope it's a good one.
Brogan, whoo-hoo! Maybe you can review one of those two books here? I'll be curious to hear what you think of them, anyway.
Thanks, Jo-Jo and Staci!
Your mailbox has been very, very good to you. I also can't wait to dive into The Lacuna.
