I received two books in the mail this week, both giveaway wins: The Host by Stephenie Meyer, which I won from Dar at Peeking Between the Pages (courtesy of Hachette) and The Condition by Jennifer Haigh, which I won from Gayle at Everyday I Write the Book (courtesy of Harper Collins). I wasn’t a big fan of Twilight (I gave up on the series after the first book), but I’m looking forward to reading The Host. However, I think The Condition might just be a perfect summer read!

    I'm not into Twilight, not even enough to try reading it. I haven't heard of any of those books but I hope you enjoy them.

    I loved The Host, it is way better than the Twilight series!! I hope you like it!! The Condition sounds like a great read too!!

    I read the Host and preferred it to Twilight too! I haven't read the Condition, but it looks really interesting.

    The Host is really good in my opinion. I enjoyed the Twilight series but I really enjoyed The Host more =) I hope you like it!

    Enjoy your books. I received Fear The Worst from a Shelf Awareness request I made. It's looks really intense. I have about 4 reviews to right and post though before I get to it.

    The host usually isn't my type of book, but I'm thinking of giving it a try. I like all the stuff that I have been hearing about it.

    Yay for new books. I liked Twilight but was disappointed with the others in the series. Still haven't gotten to the last one. I am sort of curious about The Host. I hope you'll enjoy it and looking forward to your review.

    The Condition sounds good. I can't say I've had the urge to read The Host. I did enjoy the Twilight books, but the writing wasn't the best and so I haven't really cared to try something else by the author.

    I liked the Host better than the Twilight series even though the Host is a bit long (something like 600+ pages)it is a quick read. I think what makes these books so likeable is Meyer's ability to tell a good story, where you want to know more about the characters and where they will go next.
