Reflection Times Three Four

Only two three of these three four covers are really similar, but the third uses the same type of concept. The first two are Shutterspeed by Erwin Mortier (a translation of the Dutch book, Sluitertijd) and What They Always Tell Us by Martin Wilson. The third book is Children of the Waters by Carleen Brice (which is coming out later this month).

Edited to add:

I found a fourth cover that matches this lot: Wie es Gott gefällt by Niccolò Ammaniti, which is the German translation of Come Dio comanda, which was translated in English as As God Commands. (It was also published in English under the title The Crossroads.)

  1. I love it when you point these things out to those of us who aren't sharp enough to notice.

  2. Hey.. just wanted to let you know that I am testing out the Link Within feature that you are using on your blog. I like that feature when I see it on other blogs but not sure if I would like it for my own. That makes absolutely no sense but I wanted to let you know since I saw it first on your blog :)

  3. Hey Avis, that Link Within widget looks pretty neat! I'm such a gadget geek...

You are sooo observant! I would love to be able to do pick out these covers.

  4. Another great series.

When I was browsing in the book store the other day, I thought of you as I saw two similar covers. I don't know if you've covered them yet ... one was Jules Asner's "Whacked" and the other was "Looking for JJ" by Anne Cassidy. I guess they might be "women with missing eyes replaced by paper." I'm sure there are more like these out there too!

  9. Kathy, I'm glad you're still enjoying these posts!

Ti, I actually know what you mean. I saw the widget on someone else's blog and thought it looked great, but I'm still not sure I really like it on mine. I think it has to do with the fact that there's too much space below the images... Plus sometimes there are no images and I'm not sure why it does that!

Donna, glad to hear you like the look of the Link Within widget! As for finding similar covers, I have a huge collection of "potentials" that I occasionally find matches for... So it's less a question of being observant and more about being obsessed!

Jenners, thanks for pointing those two lookalikes out!

Melissa, yeah, I really like them too, especially the two that look the most alike!

    Thanks, Missy and Marie!
