Ami McKay, author of The Birth House (which I still haven’t read!) says this about Absent by Sherri Vanderveen: “Honest to the core, Absent is a moving, heart-changing journey through memories and family secrets. This is a tale you won’t soon forget.”I came across this book on the Penguin Canada Book Club site.
