Mailbox Monday (November 3)

I received two books this week, both courtesy of Mini Book Expo for Bloggers: Good to a Fault by Marina Endicott, which is a finalist for the 2008 Scotiabank Giller Prize, and A Wood Engraver’s Alphabet by Gerard Brender à Brandis.

I had promised myself I would stop requesting books for a while until I caught up on my reviews, but alas... I am weak.

Mailbox Monday is hosted by Marcia at The Printed Page.

  1. Don't worry. I'm weak too. I have requested quite a number this past week and I swore I would not do that. It's an addiction of the best kind.

  2. :) My TBR pile is SO huge - I've tried to stop requesting books too - it just doesn't work!

Thanks for stopping by my mailbox!

  3. I'm weak, too. I've outgrown my bookshelves, and of course, I requested a couple of books today and entered some contests, too. A Wood Engraver's Alphabet looks gorgeous.

  4. I totally understand the dilemma. I wish not every book in the world looked so good to me.

  5. 'Good to a Fault' does sound really good. I look forward to your review. It's so hard to resist books, I suppose it's probably a good thing that most won't ship to me in Japan, or I'd be drowning in them!

  6. Good to a Fault is one I will read because it'a a Giller nominee. I actually just went a whole week without asking for an ARC. I had reduced it to about two only for each of the previous two weeks. It can be done but it's oh so difficult. lol

  7. I hear you on the weakness. Books are a major addiction. You can never have too many good things to read! Hope you enjoy them!

  10. Thanks for stopping by the 'mailbox' this week. I'm the same way ~ it's hard to pass up free books that sound so good.

  11. Shana, I just started Good to a Fault and it sounds like it's going to be another great read!

Ah, let's face it, Marcia, most of us are addicts! Thanks for dropping by!
