Happy belated Thanksgiving to all my American readers! What great books have you discovered this week? Share your
Friday Finds at
Should Be Reading.

I haven’t read any of
Daphne du Maurier’s novels, but that doesn’t deter me from wanting to read
Daphne by
Justine Picardie, a novel about du Maurier (and
Branwell Brontë) that sounds great! (I love novels about actual writers.) Read Teresa’s
review on her blog,
Shelf Love.

Once I’d read
Love Walked In by
Marisa de los Santos (read
review), I checked for recommendations on
LibraryThing and the first book on the list is
The Book of Bright Things by
Sandra Kring. Of course, I then went hunting for reviews and found a good ones at
Lynne’s Little Corner of the World. Check out her
review for yourself. This is the second time I’ve featured Sandra Kring in a
Friday Finds post, so I think I must read her books soon!
I love the cover of The Book of Bright Things.
ReplyDeleteThe Daphne book sounds really interesting. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Library Thing had recommendations. I only have two books in my FF this week too.
ReplyDeleteThe Book of Bright Ideas is EXCELLENT, Avis.
ReplyDeleteYour other find looks great!
Shana
Literarily
I may have to check out "The Book of Bright Things."
ReplyDeleteHere's my Friday Find.
Thanks for linking to my review. Daphne really is a great read. And if you like it, you should check out Rebecca, too. It's one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteI've heard good things about Daphne!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to read about Daphne! I absolutely loved Rebecca, and it would be interesting to find out more about the author.
ReplyDeleteThe covers of both these books are so appealing! I am really interested in the Daphne book. You MUST read Rebecca... it is great and such a classic.

Kathy, I love the fact that the girl on the cover has a book tied to her waist. But I think I like the cover to Daphne even better.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Beth!
Callista, each book has recommendations on its main page. Sometimes they don't make sense (as when ARCs are associated with other ARCs) and often the recommendations are for other books by the same author, but they are fun to check out.
I'm glad to hear you enjoyed The Book of Bright Things, Shana!
Sherry, apologies for not doing the FF rounds the last couple of weeks. I will comment on your post shortly!
I know, Teresa, Rebbecca is on my list of books to read! (I have seen the movie...)
Thanks for stopping by, Cheryl!
Betty and Kim, thanks for recommending Rebbecca! As I said to Teresa, I do intend to read it one of these days...
Never heard about Daphne but now I want to read it! Thanks for the heads-up!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Ania, thanks for stopping by!
