I first spotted
Pathologies: A Life in Essays by
Susan Olding on the
Mini Book Expo site, but I’d already claimed two books, so I couldn’t claim it too. Too bad because I love reading personal essays and these ones sound very good.
This book looks great!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Friday Find.
I look forward to reading your review on this book. I enjoy the occasional good short story collection but I am picky. I usually need a trusted good reveiw first :D
ReplyDeleteSounds interesting. I like autobiography, so why not personal essays?
ReplyDeleteThat has happened to me a couple of times on the Mini Book Expo. The other day I saw a French lesson book and was disappointed that I already have two requested.
ReplyDeleteI love the Mini Book Expo Site, but they have had problems with both books I've signed up for!! They just sent me an email saying I could sign up for a 3rd as the others haven't arrived yet!
ReplyDeleteThe book you received looks interesting!
:) Wendi
It does, doesn't it, Sherry!
ReplyDeleteIcedream, when I posted this, I didn't actually have the book, but the editor has since offered to send it to me for review!
Oh do try reading personal essays, Beth, if you like autobiographies or memoirs! Same thing, really, in a different format.
Alyce, I know, it can be so frustrating, though I guess we shouldn't complain since we're getting these books for free.
Wendi, that's weird, you're the second person to tell me that in the last short while. I haven't had any trouble with them so far (knock on wood), except I find it sometimes takes them a while to post my reviews (and the last time they posted one of mine, the link to my blog didn't work, argh!).
