Mailbox Monday (September 29)

I’m super excited about one of the books I received in the mail this week: The 19th Wife by David Ebershoff. I’ve wanted to read this book ever since it was offered in a bonus batch of Early Reviewer books on LibraryThing. The author was kind enough to send me an inscribed ARC, which arrived last week. Thank you, David!

I also received a copy of Shoot the Moon by Billie Letts, courtesy of Michele – Only One L and Hachette. Yay for book giveaways!

Mailbox Monday is hosted by Marcia at The Printed Page.

  3. I know, that one's such a great score! I felt shy about asking David Ebershoff for a copy of his book but he replied right away in the affirmative and then sent it to me really fast. I may have to bump it up to the top of my pile!

  6. iubookgirl, I do hope I like it as much as I'm expecting to!

Shana, I agree! Authors, publicists, publishers, other bloggers -- I'm amazed at the generosity of everyone involved in the book blogging community.

  9. Thank you for stopping by the 'Mailbox' this week. I've read 'The 19th Wife' and it makes one of my top reads for this year. I've actually posted a link for it on my side bar under 'Books You Shouldn't Pass By...'

  11. Sorry I'm so late responding to your posts. I'm behind in blog reading and sick so it's taking me awhile to catch up!

    Anyway...

That's great that you received The 19th Wife! I'll be reading it soon for a TLC tour in November.

I want to read Shoot the Moon as well. I loved Where the Heart Is, so I want to give that one a try, too.

    Happy reading!!

  12. Anna, please don't apologize for commenting late! I love receiving comments whenever they come, so no worries there. I hope you feel better soon. I want to read The 19th Wife along with everyone else who's participating in the tour (join in from the sidelines, so to speak!)...

I'm off to comment on your Mailbox Monday post now!
